James Sheylds, off ballynasloy; beeing examined; sayth that aboutt July Last was twelmonth; liueing then in beagh, in the halfe barrony off Moycarnan; vsed <A> to loccke vp his tooles in the Castle; (he beeing asmith) and aboutt Midtime off the day; beeing walkeing vpon the top off the Castle, and heareing some Noyse; looke aboutt, and presently espyed, (Nott far from the Castle;) some toryes aprehend and take two souldyers; belonging to the English army; amoungst which toryes, the examined sayth there was one Edmond Lynogh, and another called Alexander oge borke; which was att the takeing off the sayd souldyers; and haueing soe taken them, Carryed them, aboutt halfe a mile further to a bogge side Within lesse then Muskett shott off a towne Called Cullyagh; and there did withoutt; any pity traitcherously Murdered the two souldyers: in vew off Most off the inhabitants; of the sayd toune, and the examined further sayth that he heard by some off that toune, that the sayd toryes; sould the Most parte off the souldyers Close, (whom the had soe Murdered) to Lawghlin O Mainn and his sonnes who liues now in the said toune and the examined further saith nott
