<Killcolgan the 29th of nouember 1652.>
The examination information examination of Mr John ffurlonge in the Barrony of Killcartan and County of Gallway taken vppon oath before by Robertt Clark one of the Commissioners of the reuen e we for the Administration of iustice in the precincts of Gallway whoe saith.
whoe saith being examined saith, that in the yeare 1641 he {being} English man and liueinge in the barrony of Dunkellyn did for his owne safety goe into the fort of Gallway where he did abide vntill the deliuery therof, And further saith that he was present when : with sargeant Rowleright, James persiuell, and one Bennett was taken at Oranmore by the Lord of Clanmoris, and the party with him, and this deponent with the rest abouesaid beinge carried from oranmore to Claryn bridge was there hanged, exceptinge the said Deponent whoe by the intercession of some of the said party exscaped with life, And further saith that Thomas Lord viscount Clanmoris was the leader of the said party and that there was present as his confederates, Thomas burk fitz Edmund of Killcornan, and Rickard Burk fitz Vlick of Lehardan, and Edmund Mc Henry roe Burk of Tuakinnalehin; John mc shida, of Kinalehin John fitz Gerrott, fenser, the names of the rest he doth not at present remember, And further saith that one James Martyn of Gallway as he supposeth can giue a further discouery of this bussinesse.
And further saith not.
