The examination of Daniell Kelly of dundermott sworne and Examined att Athlege this 20th of March 1652:
Deposeth that aboute the begininge of this Comotion when Major Robeart Armsbey <A> being vppon his March thorrow the parrish of Athleage into the County of Gallway, That one Hugh mc Geraughty in the Parrish of ffuerty And one Bryan mc Owenn Kelly in the Parish of Athleage Massacred & Murthered a Trumpetter belongeing to the party of the said Major Armesbey att a Littell wood neere vnto Bryan Kellys Mille beinge in the Rode betwixt the parrish of Athleage and the County of Gallway and the Cause of his Knowledge is hee hi mselfe heard the said Bryan Mc Owenn make his bost theireof

Teage Kelly sworne & examined att that time saith that he heard the forementioned Bryann <B> Mc Owenn Kelly relate in Athleage before himselfe & otheres that he sould in Ballenasloe the Trumpet with the horsse belongeinge to the Afforesaid Trumpeter Murdered
