The examinacion of Margarett Kelly of Dundalke in the County of Lowth widdowe aged forty yeares or thereabouts taken the xxiiijth day of June 1654
<A> Who beeing duely sworne and examjned deposeth and saith That on or about the xxiijth of October 1641 the Examinant then liueing at CarriggmcRosse in the County of Monaghan did then and there see Patricke McEdmond McMahowne Patrick McToole McMahowne (where they now liued shee knoweth not) Toole McEward now in the County of Downe Patrick McCollo Roe McMahowne, Hugh Ramer ô Calan and Patrick ô Hoey all three prisoners now in Dundalke and seuerall other Rebells whose names the examjnant remembreth not, Shee saith that the said Rebells did then and there seise on the seuerall English Inhabitants and Protestants in the said towne of CarrigmcRosse and amongst them seised on John Jackson George Greene and Thomas Aldersy and comitted and kept them prisoners in the said towne vntill the first day of January 1641 and then the said Rebells haueing erected a gallowes neer to the Castle of CarriggmcRosse, the examjnant did then see the said Patricke McCollo

<C> Collo Roe McMahowne Hugh Ramer ô Callan Patricke Hoey, Patricke McEdmond McMahowne Patricke McToole McMahowne and Toole McEward and seuerall other Rebells aforesaid carrying the said John Jackson, George Greene and Thomas Aldersy to the said Gallowes and the said Rebells beeing come to the Gallowes as aforesaid shee did there see them standing ready to hang them the said John Jackson, George Greene and Thomas Aldersy, and the examjnant haueing gon a little way into the said towne and returneing immediatly did as shee was passing by to the aforesaid Gallowes did then and there see the said John Jackson George Greene and Thomas Aldersy <D> hanging dead vppon the said Gallowes and the said Patricke McCollo Roe McMahown Hugh Ramer ô Callan and Patricke ô hoey Patricke McEdmond McMahowne Patrick McToole McMahowne and the said Toole McEward, standing still at the said gallowes <E> amongst the other Rebells ayding and assisting at the hanging of the said John Jackson George Greene and Thomas Aldersy, The examjnant further saith that about a month or six weekes after the first of January aforesaid the examjnant did see the said Hugh Ramer ô Calan and Toole McEward present and assisting other Rebells at CarrigmcRosse aforesaid at the hanging of Mr Rossell and his wife whose Christian names the examjnant remembreth not, And
