<symbol> The examinacion & deposicion of Captain John Wooll of Ballyhassett in the barrony of Lecale in the Count{y} of downe aged 39: yeares or thereabouts taken the 18{th} of March 1652
Who saith That he this Examinate haueing Layne about two monethes sicke in his house in Lecayle, Mr Bryan รด Neile his Neighbour came to Visitt him about this time two yeares which as this Examinat{e} <A> remembers was about a Weeke before the said Mr Bryan O Neile was apprehended, And he Inquired of this Examinate concerning his health & how soone he did hope to be able to stirr abroad, wherevnto this Examinate answered that It was only in Gods hands or to that effect, And demaunded of the said Bryan why he made that inquiry who replyed that he had occacion to imploy him. And tould him it was a pittyfull case that wee should lye vnder such heavy oppressi{on} haveing noe ffreedome And said that vpon an howers warneing he Could sent to One man to bring downe as many Irish as should seize vpon all the Isle Lecayle & surprize all the houldes in it And alsoe that he the said Bryan, had a boate ready to send to the Isle of Mann for Amunicion And further said that he the said Bryan did doubt that this Examinate would not be able to goe a Broad against the time And vpon this some of this Examinate{s} Neighbours came in to visitt him which Broake of the discourse otherwis{e} this Examinate veryly beleiveth he should have heard more particulars of this Plott from the said Bryan And being demaunded why he did not before this time reveile this discourse saith that the said Bryan being a troublesome spirited man & haveing man{y} dependants of the Irish & this examinate being but One single Wittness he durst not doe it then for feare of his life & for that the said Brian would have denyed it, till now, he heard that he had spoken to others that would testify against him the said Brian in this matter as well as this examina{te} And further saith not
