The Receginzance of Captain Jacob Knowles of Downepatterick in the County of Downe taken by vs, for the use of the Commonwealth of England the 19th day of May 1653 at Carrickferges
The said Jacob Knowles acknowledgeth to bee indebted to the Commonwealth of England the summ of fiftie pounds ster to bee leauied of his body goods and lands, as in such cases is usuall, _____ 50 li.:00:00
The Condition of the said Receginzance is, that if the said Jacob Knowles, shall at all times within or after foure dayes warning, giuen him or left at his house or other place of abideing, appeare before such in authority requireing his appeareance aforesaid, to giue in euidence before such soe in power, whether at High Court of Justice Jayle deliuery or otherwise, against Bryan alias Sir Bryan o Neile, and not departe such Court or Judicature without speciall licence, that then this Receginzance bee voyde otherwise to remaine in force and virtue in Law
