The Examination of Bryan mchelhenny of Lagigoan
<symbol> Who being (as he sayeth) about twenty three yeers of age; Sayeth that about fyue yeers agoe in the haruest tyme he with others were commanded out vpon a party by Phelemy Mack Toole Vnder Serjeant Richard Sauadge and being abroad mett with some men in the pace of Dundrum dryuing some horses and cowes; And that Serjeant Sauuage sett [ ] on his men to take the sayd cattle That he this examinant was not neer to Serjeant Gettinbee when he was killed And sayeth that he was killed by Serjeant Sauuag{e} But this examinant confesseth that he took Thomas paceley and had his hatt his pistoll and his sword That such cloathes as was gotten of the sayd Gettingbee and of those that wer taken prisoners wer giuen by consent of all to those, that had most use for them upon condition to be abbatted proportionably of the ransome of the prisoners; And that Serjeant Sauuage had Serjeant Gettingbees suite of cloathes: And that he the sayd examinant gott his share of the moneyes seauen and thirtye shill and six d.: And euery one of the rest except Sauuage gott as much: And the sayd Sauuage carye all the rest to Phelemy mc Toole This Examinant further sayeth that the order [ ] by which the sayd party was commanded out is yett remayning with Henry Mc Toole, brother to the sayd Phelemy
