The Examinacion of Margarett Belmer widdow of Lisnegaruy aged fifty yeares or thereabouts taken at Lisnegaruy 2 May 1653
Who saith that she was in John Abrams house at Lisnetrunk in an euening a little after the Rebellion when <A> a party of the Irish broke open the doore & stripped all that were therein & wounded the said John Abram very sore who [ ] this examinant with others was carried by his wife & the within named Mariory Watson to an hollow tree & also this examinant with such others as were then in the said John Abrams house went along with them & taried in the said hollow tree all night, feareing they should lose their liues by the said Irish whome they heard threatning very much to d[ ] kill them if they could find them, And being demanded if she knew any of the said party, saith that she heard from John Abram that it was one Lewy oge o Haughion which comanded the party & also she saith she saw one Hen: Duffe mc Hamil in the said John Abrams house, being in the company of the said party as aforesaid And she further saith that she was heard of two men that were kild hard by but she knew none of them neither did she see their Corps.
