The examinacion of Murghy oge McMurghy of Ballycastle in the County of Antrim labourer taken before vs the said 16 of March 1652
Who being duely examined saith That he was vnder Cooke or scullion to the Countess of Antrim at Ballycastle at the begining of the Irish Rebellion & after the Murder at Portnaw vntill the Irish fled over the Bann And that from the begining of the Irish Rebellion vntill the {said} Countess whose servant he was went over the Bann he neither heard of any Brittish killed at or neere Ballycastle or Ram{oane} Church a quarter thence but only Jennett Speir & one wom{an} more whom he heard were killed in some place abo{ut} Ballycastle but he doth not know where or by whom {And} further he saith not
