<This recognizance steyed from being estreated by order of the 13th of May 1653>
being called did not appeare but forfeited his Recognizance 9th May 1653 Carrickfergus

The said John Kidd the same day & yeare acknowledged before vs to owe vnto the keepers of the libertie of England to be leavyed of his goods Chattells Lands & tenements to the vse of the Commonwealth of England vpon the Condicion vnderwritten______xx li.
The Condicion of this Recognizance is such That if the foresaid John Kidd shall personally appeare before & in the High Court of Justice at the next sitting thereof in the Province of Vlster wheresoever the same shall happen to be held or kept or at any other time when he shalbe therevnto required to prosecute & give in evidence on behalfe of the said keepers touching the promises and alsoe touching all treasons done or committed by the Irish at or since the Irish Rebellion begun in October 1641 And shall not after his apparance there depart thence without license of the said Court That then this Recognizance to be voyd otherwise to be of full force in law
