The Informacion of Thomas Dixon taken before Sammuell Stambridge, Edward Mart{in} and Thomas ffugill of Drogheda esquires Justices of the peace for the Towne and Countie of Drogheda the seventh day of Marche 1652
The said Thomas Dixon saith that about one month after the rebellion one Michaell Doyne who formerly Lived in the Countie of Antrim came with about 120 ffamilyes to a place called hockley neere Ardmagh, and often comminge to Armagh aforesaid to drinck Aquauite att the howse of one Olliver Tirrell, hee the said Thomas Dixon did hear dunn saye, to some Ireishe who were drinckeinge with him, that hee and his servants had killed seven and twentie Englishe and Scotts, and that morneinge hee came awaye, hee sett his owne howse on fire in the Com of Antrim; And the Informant further saith that hee formerly had a ffarme neere hockley aforesaid, which the said Michaell Donne tooke possession of, as alsoe of all the said Informants Corne and Cattle, and one Edward an Englishman who was formerly this informants ploweman for to serve him; who and this Informant after by gods providence escapeinge the hands of the Rebbells came to the Towne of Drogheda, where hee mett with the said servants wife, and enquireinge of her where he husband was shee told him that Michaell Donne and his men hanged him the day that the Towne of Armagh was sett on fire;
This Information being Intemated to vs w and we hearing that the said Dunn is now att Dublin we conceived it out duety to Comunicate it to the Right Honorable the high Court of Justice, And Remaine
