The examinaction of Lenas Oge O Haghiran taken the 5th of May 1653
Who saith that at the begininge of the Rebellion he liued at Ballycrossan within two myles of Lisnagarvy & that when the rebellion broke out, he beinge a Tenant vnder Collonell Hill did goe with the said Collonell to Carickfergus & there had a passe protection to liue at home, the which he did till December followinge when he heard that the Scotchmen did kill the Irishmen at the Gallagh he then went out to the Irish party for safeguard of his life with whom he neuer did beare any office or Arms, but about May next after went into the west, & there liued without any imploymente on the Irish party, & after this examinant tooke protecion from Sir Charles Coote & that this examinant before his goeinge to the Irish did Carry letters from Collonell Hill & the Comissioners to Mr McCartan & to Sir Con McGinis & to Euer McShees, & beinge demanded whether he knew John Abram that liued in the Moyrah, he says that he knew him not, neither doth he know such a towne Land as Lisnatrunke, nor John Spratt nor the other persons that were stript
