Gilduffe Magee being Examined saith That aboute the eight Day{e} of January next after the Rebellion, being the Sabboth d{ay} hee being then att Richard McCanns house att Glin in the Count{y} of Antrim, there came one Capten John O Gneeue to {the} Doore of the said house, haueing fiue or six horse =me{n} in his Company, the Examinant then came out of the house and asked the said Captain John O Gneeue where hee was, and what was the Newes with him, vpon which the said Cap{ten} strooke him the Examinant on the shoulder with his rodd, a{nd} bidd him gett him out of the way or else hee {should} be killed; Hee saith alsoe that the said Capten O Gneeue {did} call Richard MaCann out of the house and desired him to shew him, where one John Maccaffery w{as} being the servant of Hugh Merrgeagh O Neale who liued in Glinn alsoe; vpon which the said Richard gott horse and fledd to Carrickfargus bein afraide of his life, and the said Capten O Gneeue and his me{n} who were with him found the said John McCaffrery and killed him, butt which of them killed him the Examinant knoweth not; by reason hee stayed in the said house vntill night; and then fledd for his life And further saith not:
