The examinacion of Patt: McLaughlin of Ballinderry in Comm: Antrim aged six & twenty yeares or thereabouts taken at Lisnegaruy
Who saith that after his leaueing of this towne & haueing demanded of his wife & other of his people at his home at Ballinderry as aforesaid whether euer they did heare this examinant relate vnto them anything concerning that murder which was comitted by the Scotts vnder Castle Reagh vpon the Irish there who answered unto him that they had heard him say that there was Pierce McLerenan Charles Lindon & ffrancis Purdy among the company of this Scotts att that time as it was related vnto this examinant by his mistris Anne Simerell who is now dead & others whome he can not remember but whether they acted any thing amongst the said Scotts at that time this examinant knoweth not neither was it related vnto him
