The Examjnacyon of Anye ne Mallan of Killkonck in the county of Antrim widow aged about 30 yeares ould who: saith that aboute this time 7 yeares her husban{d} Cormuck o Mallan with 3 more souldiers of Collonell Conwayes regement named will Dunbar Patrick Owen McCann, your Examinant saith that shee went to Captan Spencers quarter to inquire of her husband to one Turlaugh McCory if hee heard anything of her husband who: shee hard formerly was kild and she said Turlagh McCorey saide that hee did not see her husband but see his Clothe s with Turlaugh o Sheele saide that hee himselfe was taken by sum 6 men by the ryver and they and one Hugh o Harttan was taken by sum six men, goeing in there returne homeward to Capta: Spencers quartter, and being taken by the men which was strangers to them tooke the said Hagh o Harttan and Hangde him, and tooke vp there Turlaugh McCorow to hange him whearevpon there came Turlaugh o Sheele & Donnell McGilmary and the saide Turlaugh of o Sheele saide that thay should not hang him and before thay should hang him thay should kill himselfe but she said Turlaugh McCory said to her that thai tooke him along with them and kept him 3 nights. and did aske him whether hee knew the fisher of brook hill or not who: said hee did, for his name was Cormuck o Mallan and thai tould him that hee would fish noe more for these be his Cloches
