The Examinacion of Anne Hocksly of Malone in Comm Antrim taged thirty or thereabouts taken 14 May 1653
Who saith that she liued in Munioy at the begining of the Rebellion & about a quarter of a yeare after she was vpon the Greene of Munioy when as she saw one Brian <B> Moder O Quin James O Cullen & Patt: McBrian oge o Cawell carieing away with them in their company one John Pew Hugh Williams, & his wife Mariory & Geo: Browne & his wife margett from thence out of towne & this examinant & with other s followed them to see what would become of them suspecting that the said Quin with the rest would kill them & vpon this e the following of them the said Brian Moder O Quin with rest replyed that if they would not goe back againe they would serue them in such manner as they were resolued to doe with the said Pew & the rest vpon which this examinant with the rest went not soe fast but went so fit slowly after them vntill they came to an old Mill where they lay downe to hide themselues from the said Quin with the rest of his com p & at the time of there lying there the{y} saw the said Quin with the rest fall vpon the said John Pew & the rest taken away as aforesaid & killed them And this examinant saith that that said Sh one Shane o Dealing wnow in prison who is accused for this murder aforesaid was not in the company of the said Quin when that murder was comitted And further saith not
