The examinacion of John Mackletoyse of Glanarme of the age of 40 years taken the 4th of June 1653 at Carickfergus
Who beinge duly sworne & examined saith that in the begining of the Warrs he liued in this towne of Carickfergus and that he did see one of the Irish men that escaped out of the Ile magee but knoweth not his name, & that he did see the said Irishman slaine at the Lyme Kilne in the Irish quarter by a Scotch man, diverse others beinge by, but doth not know the Irish Scotchmans name nor did he inquire thereof; for that he was afraid of his [ ] owne liffe & further saith not
