The Examinacion of George Shawe of Lurgan aged 42 yeares taken the 21 May 1653 before vs./.
Whoe saith that aboute the twenty third of October 1641 beinge Sonday and the second day of the Rebellion: one Glasseney oge magneisse of Clanconell, aboute 9 of the Clocke of the same day came with a longe Tucke drawn in his hands, hee Leadinge on as a Captaine, about the number of 60 men, Armed with swords, skeanes, halfe pikes, pichforkes and other weapons, to this Examinants house, and plundred him of all his houshould stuff Catle and horses and this Examinants wife striueinge to keepe some of her Goods, the said Glasney oge Magneisses pusht her on the belly and threw her on the Ground she being big with Child after which time this Examinants wife was neuer well, but about a month after she was deliuered of her Child and then she dyed and so nne a f ter the child also And further saith that the said Glassney oge magneisse at the same time Robd and plundred this Examinants father, James Greham and William Carry the said James Greham now liues at Drombow neer Lisnegarvey and William Corry liues not farr from Greham & further saith not
