The Examinacion of Patrick McBegh of Dromsoone in the Countie of Antrym yeoman adged 25 yeares or thereabouts being duely sworne & examined by virtue of his Oath deposeth & saith
That about Candlemas in the yeare 1641 hee this Examinate then being servant to Alexander McOwen of Cloghanduffe in the Countie of Antrym yeoman, was with his Mistres att the Mill of Ballymartin in the Countrie aforesaid & there discerneing Troopers rideing towards <A> Cloghanduffe aforesaid, his this Examinants Mistres Commaunded him to repayre towards hoame & drive her Cowes hoame for feare of the said Troopes which this deponent Examinate did accordingly, & being busie about the house occasions. hee discerned two Troopers goeing into the Doore of the said house att which tyme William Magocane & Marie his wife were liveing therein & saith that they were both that is to say the said William & Mary found Killed in the Chamber of the said house instantly att theire departeing the house & saith that there were not any company in the house att the tyme of theire said Troop er s entring therevnto but one ould woman whose name this Examinate remembreth not. And saith that hee was after crediblie informed that the said Troops were called caled Roger Gourdon & James Morrison & further saith not
