<(1)> The examinacion of Art O Donelly of Dunmury in Com: Antrim aged thirty fiue yeares or thereabouts taken at 22 Aprill 1653
<symbol> Who saith that as he with Dauid Boyes John Burden & others were goeing vp to Dundalk about three yeares & a halfe agoe one Brian O Lauerty with Turlo McGagherty & seuerall others vnder his comand who called themselves woodkernes were Lyeing in Ambush for Coll: Monkes comeing downe from <A> Dundalk into the North & chanced to meet with this examinant & the rest as they were goeing up thither & took them all their horses Armes & Cloathes & in that time of their be afterwards he released them for a sum of mony which they were to giue him & in that time of their being prisoners with the said Brian O Lauerty he with the rest of his company took on Edm: McCormack being a Post which Collonell Munck sent downe from Dundalk to Maior Raudon which they kept with them And the said Brian O Lauerty being demanded by this examinant yesterday when he was taken prisoner what was become of the said Edm: McCormack the Post which was his prisoner he voluntarily confessed that he was taken to Charlemount & there hanged
