The examinacion of Isabell Jameson taken the 17th of May 1653
Who being sworne sayeth That in the first yeare of the Rebellion she being <B> with her father and his family in the castle of Ballygelly was sent by her father, with her brothers to the barne to fetch some corne, That they were sett upon by six horsemen Rebells And that whereof Bryan O Mulligan and John Brookes were [ ] of that company. That they ouer tooke her brother Henry and herself as they wer flying away And caryed them to Glenarme to one John ogs house where they caused Examine them before the Gouuernor Turlogh og O Neil; And after the Examinacion caryed away her brother Henry; whom they hanged ouer the bridge of Glenarme, as she heard afterward; And when <C> the foresayd Rebells returned to John ogs house, she this Examinant heard them say that Jackie was Hanged. This Examinat sayeth that she saw Bryan O Mulligen pursue hard after her brother Robert who escaped throw a riuer, And that Bryan O Mulligen had a fouling peece in his hand, and she this Examinat heard the sayd Bryan say to the rest of the the his company when he returned to them from following

after her brother Robert (If my peece had been charged I would haue shott him). And this Examinat sayeth that at the same tyme when she was taken by the foresayd Rebells they took also, a young boy William Hunter, and caryed him also with her and her brother to Glenarme And this Examinat sayeth she heard, that they kiled drowned the sayd boy and keept him vnder water with pykes till he dyed
And this Examinat further sayeth that she heard Bryan O Mulligan (att an other tyme while she was in John Ogs house) as he was returned from the killing of some other persons; bragging, that he had that day killed a pretty woman, and that she cast her apron about her head when he was stricken att her with his sword, And she sayeth that she saw the sayd Bryan O Mulligan shew in his hands the Ribbons which (he sayd) he took out of the sayd womans purse when he searched her
