The examinacion of Anne Ebell of Belfast in Com: Antrim aged eight & fourty yeares or thereabouts taken 3 June 1653
<A> Who saith that she liued in Tandragee at the begining of the Rebellion & about a yeare & a halfe after one William McToole who also Liued in Tandrigee came to the shop of this examinants husband named Rich: Ebell a smith who is dead about a yeare & a halfe since & brought with him this examinants sister{s} clothes & the cloathes of this examinants said sisters husband named John Taft which two said persons the said William McToole killed according to his owne report which he told the said Rich: Ebell when as he came vnto his shop as aforesaid & also the said William McToole reported further vnto this examinants husband the said time that he had killed seuen children of the said John Tafts And the cause of this examinants knowledge is both that she saw the clothes of her said sister & brother slaine as aforesaid which she knew to be the clothes of her said sister & brother And also that she was present in her husbands said shop when as the said William McToole related vnto her said husband the in his actings vpon this examinants this hi r said brother sister & children
