Edwin Babbington, late of Creduffe in the parish of Termon Omongan within the county of Tyrone within the prouince of Vlster gentleman maketh oath that at the beginning of the great and generall rebellion in Ireland hee was possessed of an estate consisting of money goods Chattells houses and other things amounting to the value of one thousand pounds and upwards of all which hee was robbed and dispoyled, burnt, destroyed and taken away in or about the yeare 1641 by one Thomas Handy Phelym [ ] O Dever James Madevett Toole Madevett and divers others of the Rebells which this deponent cannot particulerly name, but saith that they were then vnder the comaund of Sir Phelym [ ] Ô Neale; and this deponent further deposeth that for all the losses abovesaid hee hath not received any satisfaccion, and that hee was for a long tyme detayned prisoner by the said rebells and suffered a sharpe and tedious imprisonment.
