<(2)> The Examination of Bryan o Leuertie of the farside of the band neere Coleraine Adged 32 years or therabouts taken before vs Captain George Talbott and Roger Lyndon Esquires at Carrickfergus the 6t of May 1653.
Who saith that aboute 5 yeares since, hee with others soldiers, belonging to the foote Company, then Commanded by Captain Shane Og o Neile, then Governor of Charliamount Met with Dauid Bayes John Burden Art o Donelly & Thomas Whiteby at Moyry Pesse as they as they were goeing to Dundalke and that this Examinant and the rest of his <A> Consorts Namely Rory o Can, Robert o Can, Manus o Mallan, Turlogh o Mullen, Paterick o Deuelin, Paterick o Queelen, Paterick Mc [T?]eere & Turlogh McGaughen tooke the said Dauid Boyes, John Burden, Art o Donnelly, Thomas & Whitby prissoners, and they not able to fight long tooke from them their Horses, Armes, and Cloathes and saith that within an howre after, one Edmond Mc Cormick comeing from Dundalk on horse back, this Examinet and the rest if his Company tooke him prissoners alsoe, who with the former prisoners were all carried (Except Art o Donnelly and John Burden from thence that same day to Charliamount where they the said Boyes and Whitby, continued prissoners the space of a month but Edmund Mc Carmick, was within two howres after his comeing thether, hanged by the Command of the Captain Shane Oge o Neile then Gouernor at Charliamount as aforesaid for that it was then alleadged against him (and hee an Ireish) that hee was a spie against the Ireish partie
