The Examinacion of John Den servant to Patrick Tallon of the Cittie of Dublin gent: taken the 22th of Novemb: 1641
<C> Who saith that true it is that vppon saturday last in the afternoone he this Examinat had some speech with one William Bourke of this Cittie touching the taking of some townes by the rebells and that he this Examinat wishes himself in the Countrie at his fathers howse, who liueth at sag a place called saggard, about five miles hence, but this Examinat denieth that he told the said William Bourke, that there was heere <D> in towne, one that would not stay in towne these 14 daies for a thousand pounds, only that he this examinat would not stay himselfe in towne if he Could helpe it, and this Examinat expressely denieth that he euer sayd that one of the rebells had sent worde to one in towne to depart out of the Cittie, for that all their throats heere would be Cutt within these 14 daies, or that he euer vsed any wordes to that effect.
