Deposition of John March

The Examination of John March of Balltrasy in the County of Kildare Inkeeper taken before vs his maiesties Commissioners assigned the xjth day of August Anno domini 1642
Being duely sworne vppon the holy Evangelists by virtue of his oath saith that at the begininge of this Rebellion in Ireland viz on the xxiijth day of October last he the said John March was possessed of the severall goodes and Chattles vnder specified of all which and of euery part therof he was vtterly despoyled and Robbed by William Eustace of Cradockstowne gentleman and Nicholas Sutton of Tipper Esquire Clement Saunders of Newtowne gentleman and other Rebells, And he also deposeth that the <A> debts which were att time due vnto him are in the hands of the said Rebells and others which he accounteth despe rate viz
Inprimis in Corne and hay then in haggard to the value of --------------------60 li.
Item in houshould stuffe vizt Brasse Bedding
peuter ffurniture belonging to the Brewhouse &c ------------------------------xxx li.
Item in Turffe and Charcoale -----------------------------------------------------vj li.
Item his house was Burned and the Leases
of two ffearmes now altogather wasted to
his present dammadg of ------------------------------------------------------------C li.
Item he values his said Leases being for xxty
years yet to come being vltr repris worth

& must loose the future proffits vntill a peace be had worth per annum --Liiij li.
Item due to him by the said William Eustace
and Nicholas Sutton as appears by

Item in Cattle viz one Cowe and 4

Item debts due by seuerall persons besides those
aboue mentioned most wherof are in Action

Item in wine & Bear seased on by the
Rebells and drunken by them to the
