The Examination of John March of Balltrasy in the County of Kildare Inkeeper taken before vs his maiesties Commissioners assigned the xjth day of August Anno domini 1642
Being duely sworne vppon the holy Evangelists by virtue of his oath saith that at the begininge of this Rebellion in Ireland viz on the xxiijth day of October last he the said John March was possessed of the severall goodes and Chattles vnder specified of all which and of euery part therof he was vtterly despoyled and Robbed by William Eustace of Cradockstowne gentleman and Nicholas Sutton of Tipper Esquire Clement Saunders of Newtowne gentleman and other Rebells, And he also deposeth that the <A> debts which were att time due vnto him are in the hands of the said Rebells and others which he accounteth despe rate vizInprimis in Corne and hay then in haggard to the value of --------------------60 li.
