<L> Robert Davye of Jamestowne being examined saith that about the th five & twentieth of October last John Sephton of Jameston aforesaid came home to Jamestowne aforesaid where he lives very early in the Morning having laine forth all that night, and being demaunded by the examinant where he had bin. He said he had bin in the < [ ] > company of William Roen of Finglas <M> and some others and that he and they had < [ ] > resolved to goe to the army of the enemyes to see in what state they stood. Hee saith also that on Saturday last the said John Sephton tould this examinant that the said william Roen of Finglas and others hade promised him to give him as good a horse as any wereas about Finglas <N> to goe with them to help the enemy He saith that ever since the discover that the said Sephton spake first touching these matters to this examinant he hath observed that either the said sephton lay out of his owne house or els brought home suspected company with him as namely Bartholmew walsh & John Copland, whom this exami-

nant verily thinketh are part of the plott with him.
<O> He saith also that on Munday last the said sephton to this examinant said tould the said Sephton that he heard that the troope which was about Sauntry was taken up to his Maiesties use. whereunto the said Sephton replyed that if they had not bin taken up when they were they had bin taken another way. Hee saith also that he often advised the said Sephton to discover the plot <P> or to turne souldier on the Kings side but the said Sephton answered that he if he should doe soe he should be cutt all to peeces.
Hee saith also that the said Sephton tould this examinant that he heard Richard Delahide of Chappell-Midway say that he could starve Dublin within <Q> a month. and that he heard one Patrick Joh the [ ] a servant to the said Sephton say on Munday last that the said Delahide was raysing one hundred men. But to to follow the Kings souldiers when they should goe into the North. But tould not whether they were to be for the King or against the King.
