I hauinge Occasione O[ ] Mr Cuning towld mee of this [ ] [ ] Martin Taafe whoe was drinking as sayeinge that hee had murthered Twoe menne Patr[ ] and Archobald Crage mr Cuning desired mee to appeare in the Apprehending of him mee Coming to moris Derr[impalls] howse where the said Martin was drinking I Caled him forth and asked him his name he tould mee it was Nicholas Taafe and for A pretty While would Confess noe Other being [sone] call[ing] [ ] whither hee were schure that was his name hee stifly stod to it it wass I demanded whither hee knew martin Taffe or not hee said hee did and that he liued nere [Hiwardes] I giue you his [ ] wordes at last hee Confesed his name to bee martin Taafe which resane Caused mee to Apprehend him and send him to the Cunstabell of Ballymonny by this meanes I may drawe Inconvayancye on mee knowing I may bee good seruice to the publick I the less [ ] owne perticule not Elce at present but de[sire] to bee Confident I am Sir
