Donagh fferrall of Derrigawny in the Countye of longford gentleman aged thirty yeares or thereabouts being duely sworne and examined sayth that hee was (amongst many others of the County) at Masse at a place called Cloigher in the Calloe in the said County, about two or three yeares since, to his best remembrance, And sayth that hee saw there Captaine Marcus Cruise, and his brothers luke Cruise and Richard Cruise, and also saw Hugh mc Bryan fferrall there, And further sayth that imediatly after Masse was ended hee this Examinant went home to his owne house, but sayth hee hath since credibly heard by many that stayed after him vppon the place, that there came some quarrell betweene the said luke Cruise (who was called a leivetenant) and the said Hugh mcBryan fferrall, and that the said Hugh mc Bryan was killed with a shott of a pistoll but from whose hand, or who more were in that quarrell hee did not credibly heare nor did ever can further depose any thing materiall.
