<Mallow March the 7th 1653> Deposicions taken Concerninge James fitz Dauid Gibbon of Ballyhobbell in the Barrony of Kilmore and County of Corke gent, in the yeare 1641
Phillip Holmes of Mallow gent Aged forty foure yeares being Duly Sworne and Examined, Saith
That the said James Gibbon was in Actuall Armes against the English in the 1641
That he had the Commande of a Company in the Garrison of Killmallocke, and there Died
The Cause of this Deponents Knowledge, is that hee was taken prisoner by some of Maior Lacyes horse and Caried to Killmallocke where hee Saw the said Gibbon Comande a Company
