The examinacion of Edmond Mullrony fin of the Boy{le} taken before vs at Athlone the 29th of Aprill 165{3} concerninge the Murther of Owen Corkan
Edmond Mullrony fin being duely sworne and examined, sayeth that the day that owen o Corkan was murthered neere the Boyle, this Deponent with one James farell in his Company comeing into the towne of <A> Boyle (the cry being raysed) rid to the said owen, and asked him who Murthered or killed him; this Deponent could not vnderstand any thing from the said owen but only {a} sworde the said owen being deadly w ounded that he could not speake The said Edmond further Deposeth that at his being at owen mc Dermott Esquire his house after the comitting of the said Murther Quartermaster Thomas King Deceased came to this Deponent and tould him that Brian mc shane Carragh mc Hugh (strickeing his sword against the hall Table in the said owen mc Dermotts house) and shakeing the said sword said sayed that that was the sword that hackt Owen o Corkan, and this Deponent further sayeth not etc.
