Particular of My Lady Bingnam he produci he producing the warrant directed vnto the said Sargeant Lewes vnto them, which they refuseing <C> to doe this deponent left him with his seruaunts, and went in to the Lady Bingnam who had comaund of the said place desireing her assistance for ke eyther for keepeing the said Donogh in the said Castle vntill he should be sent for or appointing some of her <D> tennaunts to convaye him to Ballinrobe, informeing her Ladyship what the cause was of his apprehension, and shewing her likewise the said warrant notwithstanding all which the said Lady did not only neglect to giue him assistance but suffered one Patrick the sonn of the said Donogh to bring a sword out of the castle or barbicon to rescue the said Donogh although the deponent told her Ladyship that the said Donogh went in for his sword wherevppon the deponent came forth along with the said Patrick, And haueing soe done he layd hold on the said Donogh purposeing to to bring him with him to Ballinrobe but being hindered by the said Donogh he <e> haueing gott him the said reines of the deponents

<f> horse in his hands forced the deponent to allight and haueing so done the deponent we{ } leauing him in the hands of his seruaunt tooke paper and inke in his hand intending to write to Ballinrobe, which when the said Donogh & his sonn had seene, immediately the said Patrick lifting vp his he cudgell knockt downe the said Deponents seruaunt, on the head which done the deponent runing at the said Donogh tooke him fast, wherevppon the said Patrick Donogh drew strugling with the deponent to gett himself free his the deponent s his sword was drawn out by one of the two aforesaid, vppon which the deponent laying hold vppon the blade of his owne sword cutt receaued a cutt in his hand, And therevpon the said Donogh made his escape haueing carryeing with him the deponents sword

The deposicion of Mr Thomas Nolan taken on the 21o 9bris 1652 before the vndernamed commissioners of Reuennue
<A> Mr Thomas Nolan of Clonkery aged 40 yeares said being examined vppon oath saith, That he haueing formerly giuen informacion that Donogh o Hobane was as he heard actiue in the Murther of Shruell and the Man that wounded the Byshop of Killallo at the said tyme of the said Murther The said Donogh being in Ballinrobe at the tyme that the said informacion was giuen by the said Nolan, there was an order graunted to Sargeant Lewes to apprehend the said Donogh, But he not being to be found this Deponent went on the one and twentieth to of November with his 2 servaunts to Clonogashell to apprehend the said Donogh, & ouertooke him below the Castle a Musquett shott, & <B> brought him with some opposicion in to the Towne The sonn of the said Donogh resisting him, And there demaunded assistance from the said Inhabitants of the said Towne, and in
