Kilbeggan the 3d of Aprill 1653
The Examination of Emlin wife to Cormock Cary sworne and examined saith that about six weeckes since hir husband tould hir that at the begininge of the war that he with som others weare cutinge corne in the harvest tyme neare an ould towne caled brackagh [ ] Cree and at that tyme there was in that <A> ould towne an ould Cabin standinge; A poore man goeinge alonge the way by the said Cabin, went looked into the Cabin and saw an English man sitinge in a hutch, which said Englishman desyred him to be sylent, but yett the poore man aforesaid, cryed out & the abouesaid Cormock with the rest that weare reapeinge in the feild came into the aforesaid Cabin and there found the English man and Murthered him.
