The Informacion of John Handerson whoe liued in Ardmagh at the begininge of this Rebellion, And now liues in Lurgan in Clanbrassell
Whoe Affirmeth that aboute the sixt of May after the Rebellion began, at the time that the Newry was taken by our forces, And <A> beinge prisoner then in Ardmagh, with the Enemie, Turlagh oge O Neille Brother to Sir Pheleime, then Comandinge in Cheefe gave order that all the Inglish, and Scotch, Especially the men should be put into the dungeon, which was Acted and perform{ed} by one Patricke O Doherty and Neale O Mallan, whoe w{ent} violently with drawn skeanes in ther hands from house, {to} house and searcht euerie Roome, and brought out all th{e} men they Could finde, and put them into the dungeon prison and stri{pt} them, and the next Morninge they Murthered them a{ll} namely Thomas Whitteker. Tho: Chever, William Golom; Will{iam} Randall, David Blacke, Mr Starkee, & his tow daughters, { } Barkley and his Children Chrippee Simons, Robert Hard{ } William Wollart, Jo: Allett Silvester Ramsey, william Bell James Rowan, and manie more which now he Cannott remember These tow parties, Patr: O Doherty and Nealle O Mallan now liues in Lurgan afforesaid Thus much John Handerson wilbe reddy to depose when occasion shall require
