The Examination of Patrick Armstrong of Killeleah aged about fourty yeers taken the 20: May 1653
Who being dewly sworne sayeth that being in Killeleah a trooper of in the L: Claneboyes troope, when the report came to the toune, that some of the Rebells had fallen upon John Iruine and some others neere faninbrog, and as was related, had killed the sayd John Iruines Mother and his sister, and two men: That he this Examinat with some troopers more, were sent out the next Morning, And this Examinat sayeth that the sayd troopers hauing dispersed them selues into [seue] seuerall campes places

3809seeking after looking for the bodies of those that were sayd to haue haue been killed he was with those that found the corps of one the men that was killed the night before, And this Examinat sayeth, he knew itt to be the body of John Decample whom he knew. and that he saw seuerall stabbs of a skeine in his body:
He further sayeth, he was not att the finding of the other man, nor of the two woemen, whom he heard by report were killed. And further he sayeth not; But that he saw the two women brought in to the toune of Killeleah, to be buryed
