<A> The examinacion of Patricke mc Dyan of Downe Patricke in Com: Downe husbandman aged about xxi yeares taken the 3o of June 1653
Who being duely examined vpon oath, saith that he was an Inhabitant in Downe, when as a partye of the Irish came to Downe aforesaid: about ffebruary after the begininge of the Rebellion, and saith he saw them robbinge, and pillageinge, and saith he saw the Lord Maginis, Conn [ o ]gh Neale, Rore Maginis, and saith he heard that Patricke mc Kartane Ogan mc Karta{ne} and Donnell Maginis were there and this deponent saith he did see one lying dead but neither knoweth who killed the said dead party nor heard he who killed the said persons further he saith he heard diuers other persons were killed in the Towne but by whome he knoweth not and further he can not depose
