The examinacion of Will: Hall of the Newry age fourty eight yeares taken vpon oath 28 May 1653
Who saith that he neuer heard of any murders comitted comitted in the Newry at the begining of the Rebellion except one Will: a Dier who whwas hanged there as this examinant was informed by many for attempting to run away to Dundalk in regard his house was pulled down by the Irish but doth belieue he was hanged by orders of Donell Oge Maginis because he was Gouernor there that time And saith that one Hen Allen was a Constable of the Newry at that time which this examinant belieues can relate the whole matter of the And further saith not
