The Examinacion & Deposicion of Ellizabeth Gormally of Duncrooe widdowe in the County of Antrym who being sworne before vs saith
That in the begininge of the Rebellion this examinant Liued in the Irish quarter neare to the west port of Carrickfergus & hearinge a great noyse, and seeinge many people passinge to & fro vpon the Walls, came out of her house to knowe what the matter was, & saw Bryan Boy Magee comeinge from the key gate towards the said house; & this examinant further saith that a Boy who was a Drummer belonginge to the Guarrisson of Carickfergus mett him the said Bryan Boy Magee in his way & with a Scotch whinyard gaue him a stab <A> vnder the right brest & afterwards the said boy gaue him another stab in the right shoulder, & another stab under the Left brest, wherevpon hee, the said Bryan Magee run hastily by this examinants Doore, and against the west Corner of the said and house, John McOwen mett the said Bryan boy Magee, who with a Crabtree Cudgell hee the said John McOwen had then in his hand hee stroke the said Bryan Magee three blowes vpon his head, soe that the said Bryan fell to the ground & that then the aforesaid John McOwen Left him, after which the said Bryan Magee was stript naked, & then one John Nelson came vp to him & drewe out his sword & thrust it through the Necke of the said Bryan Magee & Cutt his throate & the Cause of this Examinants knowledge of this Act is that she was present in the place & saw it & further saith not
