The Examinacion of Edmond Knowles of Carrigfergus Blacke Smyth Against Neile oge ô Quin taken the 25o March 1653
Saith
That at the begininge of the Rebellion hee Livd at Lissan in the County of Tyrone, (Aged about 45 yeeres,) And was was fforced by Neile oge ô Quin to worke in his trade, <Neille Oge O Quin> And whilst hee there Continewed there was many Murders Comitted (As he is was Certainely Informed) by those that then was vnder the Commaunde of the said Neile oge ô Quin
<A> As James Yonge, John Armstronge & his wife, John Yonge A marchant, william Smith showmaker, Robert Elsmore, mr Anthony Johnsey, As allso a Childe of Daniel Yongs with a Carpenter & his wife whose Names the Examinate doth not remember, And further saith that One Murtogh ô Condrey neare Lysnegarvye can giue further Informacion in this As also Edward Hudson now a dweler neare in Carrigfergus And John Randell of the same And further saith not.
