In the yeare 1641 between the first of Nouember & the fiue & twentyeth of Desember there Came to his Fathers house who Liued in the Parish of Maheryecrose In the County of Terron, Edmond oge Oneale, & Neale oge Oneale with two Companyes of men & tooke all the Cattel that were there abouts & Sent to William Betty the examinants father to Cum oute to him, who Cam with one Dauid Long In companey who Led Edmond oges horse for a Littil Space Edmond oge Oneale gaue order to one of his men to kill the Sayd Long which are was Immediatly don, & afterwards he the Sayd Oneale gaue order to Kill his father & his Brother who were both Killed, & the examinant had suffered allsoe but that an Irish Woman Loued hid him & the Sayd O neale protested he would spare nether English nor Scotch & Seuerall others Suffrd by his blody hand & derections & burnt the houses with his owne hands and farther this examinent sayeth not
